Beautiful collection of photographs of America.
"American Album" contains over 200 photos of every aspect of life in America from the late 19th Century to the early 20th Century. The selection ranges from staged portraits to shipyards to bustling cities to small towns and, finally, to Americans at work and play. These images will haunt you as you look into the face of a vanished America, but still see your own reflection looking back at you.

This book is brilliantly written. It has many stories of famous Anarchists, including poems and recipes for homemade weapons and survival items. Overall a great book and worth ten billion times the money. I give it two thumbs and two toes up!

Andrew Murray (Men of Faith)
Published in Paperback by Bethany House (January, 1996)
Authors: William Lindner and William Linder
Average review score:

Can't read it just once...
Well written and inspiring little book. Murray was a calvinist with a real devotion to Christ - that's enough of an endorsement for me to buy a biography. This quote from Andrew Murray in the book ought to sum it up: "I trust that our gracious God is bringing me somewhat to feel the necessity of an initmate experimental soul-knowledge of the precious truth to be proclaimed, and, above all, of that one glorious central truth - the amazing wonder of the love of a crucified Jesus."

Andrew Murray on Holiness
Published in Hardcover by Emerald Publishing (September, 2002)
Author: Lance Wubbels
Average review score:

You Can Be Holy, TOO
This book is a daily cleansing from myself. It has shown me that I can't buy, adopt, borrow, or bribe for His holiness. I receive His holiness only through Him. This book is teaching me that the Lord Jesus Christ, and Him alone, makes holy. If you desire to be holy in every area of your life this is the book you must read. This book will give you as it has given me a daily dosage of how to obtain, apply and be Holy, as God is Holy.

The book is easy reading and I carry it with me everywhere I go. I read it on the train, at my office, at the kitchen table. God's holiness is becoming so real to me, and this little, but powerful book has played a significant role in my daily life.

Andrew Murray on the Holy Spirit
Published in Paperback by Whitaker House (September, 2002)
Author: Andrew Murray
Average review score:

If You're serious about God, read this book!
While enlightening for everyone, this book is practically a "how-to" manual for people looking to deepen their spiritual walk. If you've read Watchman Nee, where one has to stop reading periodically to let the truths sink in, you will feel right at home when reading Andrew Murray's treatise on the Holy Spirit.

The author does not emphasize the spiritual gifts of the Spirit, neither does he deny them. The gifts are simply not the area of his concern here. He wants to help the reader achieve in his own life and experience the overcoming life the Lord Jesus promised. In my opinion, he succeeded admirably.

Aphoristics : How "Interesting Ideas" Turn the World Inside Out
Published in Paperback by SuperiorBooks.com, Inc. (15 December, 2000)
Author: Murray S. Davis
Average review score:

Murray S. Davis is a genius
Murray S. Davis is a genius. Like Nietzsche, he says in ten sentences what is usually said, or not said, in ten books. He makes you think, gives you much to think about, which is worth so much more than the price of this book. See also his "Smut: Erotic Reality/Obscene Ideology", the most profound book on sex I have ever seen. I reviewed that one here also a few years ago (no longer using that e-mail address).
